World
class BC fly fishing wilderness adventures await you! With our two
full service Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge locations we provide
experienced guides and both guided and unguided fly fishing adventures
for steelhead, salmon, rainbow trout, and cutthroat trout.
Our
lodge at Moose Lake, located near the headwaters of the Blackwater River,
Dean River, and Entiako River, is the ideal choice to fly fish for rainbow
trout. From here we fly out to many rivers for rainbow trout, cutthroat
trout, steelhead and salmon. Moose Lake has been a fly fishing destination
for years, with excellent populations of scrappy rainbow trout for exciting
angling for those days you choose not to fly out. We float and wade
the Blackwater River for dry fly fishing that is great for all ages
and skill levels. We fly out to wade and float rivers in Tweedsmuir Park, Kitlope Park, Fiordland Park, and in the Spirit Bear Rain Forest.
You may experience trips to a different river each day of your adventure
here.
Blackwell’s
Dean River Lodge has been known for many years as a great spot to
catch Summer Run Steelhead and Chinook Salmon in the Spring and
Summer, and Coho Salmon in the Fall. With the lodge located at the
mouth of the river flowing into the Dean Channel, the fish are as
fresh and bright as chrome, with many still bearing sea lice. The
lodge is on the shore of the Dean Channel, and with our float plane
moored there we can fly out daily to other great waters in the nearby
parks if desired.
From
June to October we also guide eco tour, photography, and wildlife viewing
adventures. You may see and photograph wolves, black bears, grizzly
bears, eagles, mountain goats, moose, deer, spirit bears, osprey, otters,
seals, loons and more. As professional outfitters, we have been providing
quality wilderness adventures in this remote area for 35 years, our
experienced guides will put you where the action is.
Proud
to be Orvis Endorsed!

Moose
Lake Lodge as described by Sporting Classics Magazine
Hand-carved from the wilderness and luminous with decades of
wonderful memories, Moose Lake Lodge has it all – fantastic
trout, steelhead and salmon fishing, gorgeous scenery, excellent
food and comfortable cabins. In fact, it’s hard to imagine a
more enjoyable place to fish. The credit goes to John and Mary
Lou Blackwell, who’ve created an angling oasis in the wilds
of British Columbia. Guests describe the Moose Lake experience
as “rustic elegance.” We couldn’t agree more. |
