Moose Lake Lodge

MOOSE LAKE LODGE HAS RECEIVED THE AWARD OF EXCELLENCE FROM SPORTING CLASSICS MAGAZINE
AS THE 2009 FISHING LODGE OF THE YEAR.

Moose Lake Lodge InteriorThe Lodge at Moose Lake:

Moose Lake is 300 miles north of Vancouver, British Columbia, near Tweedsmuir Park, in the Chilcotin wilderness of the Upper Blackwater, Upper Dean & Entiako watersheds. This location is ideal for the excellent rainbow trout fishing in Moose Lake, and for fly-outs to fish the superb BC rivers and streams for rainbow trout, cutthroat, steelhead, and salmon. The Blackwater and Dean are world class angling waters.

Happy diners seated at the long dining table at the lodge. Our guides know the best times to fish each water for the different species - we put our anglers in the best spots. We're noted for our fly fishing! We offer both guided and unguided wilderness angling opportunities, and we're an Orvis Endorsed fly fishing destination.

The lodge features a spacious dining room with large picture windows and a spectacular view of Moose Lake framed by the distant mountain ranges of the British Columbia Chilcotin Country. We have eight hand-hewn log cabins, complete with bathrooms, showers and propane heat. Each cabin sleeps two to four guests.

From our Chilcotin location, we not only offer guided and non-guided fly-outs to many rivers and streams for trout, steelhead and salmon, but also wilderness photography, hiking, horseback riding and eco tours from May to October.

Surrounded by nature, hiking trails offer wildlife viewing and even trophy hike-in angling. The Chilcotin and nearby Tweedsmuir Park provide unparalled opportunities to capture its stunning natural beauty in wilderness photography. Experience the back country by horseback. Unique riding and eco adventures take you to remote places seldom seen.
